Vicky is a Senior Associate, specialising in commercial lending and complex commercial property transactions.
Vicky acts for large financial institutions and agencies in connection with property and development finance, and general secured and unsecured lending transactions. She advises clients on debt restructuring, workouts, and recovery related issues, in addition to banking issues relating to insolvency, loan and security documentation, as well as compliance and regulatory matters. On a daily basis, Vicky’s work includes providing practical solutions to key challenges, and she has been subject matter expert on various in-house projects including the Code of Conduct in Mortgage Arrears and also the Personal Insolvency Act 2012.
Vicky has extensive experience in commercial property acquisitions and disposals and provides advices on a broad range of property matters. She advises corporate and private clients in connection with the sale and purchase of a variety of commercial properties to include hotels, pubs, apartment developments, warehouses, industrial estates, development sites etc. She also acts for receivers in the sale of distressed assets.
Qualifying as a Solicitor in 1996, Vicky holds a Masters in Economics from U.C.D.; a Professional Certificate in Consumer Credit from the Institute of Bankers; and is a Licentiate Compliance Officer with the Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland.
Prior to joining Kane Tuohy, Vicky developed her own general practice before working as Head of the Property and Banking Department in another leading commercial law firm in Dublin. She has valuable in-house experience having also worked with an Irish retail and commercial bank and with a large service provider.
In 2013 Vicky was appointed to the Personal Insolvency Practitioners’ Complaints Panel by the Minister for Law Reform, Justice and Equality for five years.
