Paul McCutcheon — Partner
Paul is a partner in the Property Department of Kane Tuohy. A specialist commercial property lawyer with additional expertise in insolvency and private client law, Paul has significant experience in a wide variety of property work acting for a broad range of clients ranging from multinational companies, banks and small local businesses to local authorities and private investors. An expert conveyancer, Paul has also acted for both landlords and tenants in the negotiation of commercial leases of retail, industrial and office properties and been responsible for the property portfolios owned by substantial retail chains and manufacturing and warehousing companies.
He has extensive experience of acting for receivers and liquidators in both the ongoing management and the sale of properties over which they have been appointed. In addition, he has acted for examiners in the examination of a number of companies with significant property elements and been closely involved in the re-negotiation, surrender and repudiation of commercial leases as part of that process.
Prior to joining the firm, Paul was a team leader in the legal department of the National Asset Management Agency where he led a team of four solicitors providing dedicated legal support to the asset recovery teams of NAMA and Capita Asset Management Services in relation to over 60 NAMA connections. Before joining NAMA, Paul was a partner in the Property Department of another large commercial law firm in Dublin.
A graduate of the law school of Trinity College Dublin, Paul also has diplomas in Property Tax, Insolvency and Corporate Recovery and Finance Law.
