Vicky Pigot – Senior Associate Solicitor
Vicky joined the Banking Department of Kane Tuohy Solicitors as a Senior Associate in 2013, and specializes in commercial and acquisition finance, property and development finance, agri-loans, secured and unsecured lending transactions, compliance and regulatory issues. She advises large financial institutions and agencies in a wide range of areas to include refinancing and restructuring, insolvency and recovery related issues, loan and security documentation, as well as compliance and regulatory issues relating to consumer lending, and lending to small and medium enterprises.
Prior to joining Kane Tuohy in 2013, Vicky developed and ran her own successful general practice for 6 years. She then joined a large commercial law firm in Dublin where she was Head of the Property and Banking Department. She has since gained valuable experience as an in-house Lawyer in Irish retail and commercial Banks, and in a large financial institution service provider.
Qualifying as a Solicitor in 1996, Vicky also holds a Masters in Economics from U.C.D.; a Professional Certificate in Consumer Credit from the Institute of Bankers; and is a Licentiate Compliance Officer with the Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland.
Vicky is an active member of the Association of Compliance Officers’ Arrears Working Group. She sits on the Council of the Dublin Solicitors’ Bar Association (DSBA) and is the Chair and founding member of the DSBA In-house Lawyers’ Committee. She is also a member of the Institute of Bankers, and in 2013, was appointed to the Personal Insolvency Practitioners’ Complaints Panel by the Minister for Law Reform, Justice and Equality for 5 years.
